Seeing History in the Snow
GREAT SMOKY MOUNTAIN NATIONAL PARK, TENNESSEE – Using self-guiding tour booklets available in the Park, hikers and motorists have the chance to see one of the best collections of log and stone buildings in the eastern United States. Over 90 historic structures have been preserved or restored; many are on the National Register of Historic Places.
